| Cupressus Leylandii | Green leylandii average rate of growth 60cm per a year. Plant 60cm apart (centre to centre) for a dense hedge, can be mixed alternate (best in blocks of say 2 or 3) with Castlewellan Gold or other variety to give a mixed colour effect (we have proved this is possible even though green leylandii grows faster, but you do need to trim every year and do not let hedge get any bigger than say 3mt, this is what we suggest for any Leyland hedge it can be contained to form a small hedge by regular clipping, as low as 90cm. It will also make a nice specimen tree, very attractive when planted in groups of say three trees in a triangle. | 150 (5ft) 210 (7ft) 240 (8ft) 270 (9ft) Reduced to 300 (10ft) Reduced to |
